Crepe paper flowers for the hair are quick and easy to make. Just choose a flower and a color. Then determine how big or small you want the flower to be.
You can make little flowers and attach them to a headband with clear drying glue for babies (that is the ones that are not able to remove the headband from their heads) and for children who have outgrown the stage of putting everything in their mouth. You can make a flower headband to match every outfit your little girl owns. If she is old enough she can even help you make them.
You’re not limited to headbands with little girls just babies. For toddlers and young girls you can attach the crepe paper flowers to barrettes, pony tail holders or make your own headpiece. Add beads or ribbons for an extra special hairpiece.

Flower hairpieces can also be made for weddings. You will need combs or clips just attach the paper flower and place it in the hair or you could just stick a few small flowers throughout the hair. The bride may want to adorn her veil with tiny little flowers or maybe a Tierra. Of course she could skip the veil all together and just make a pretty flower or a few of them and place them in her hair. Also a halo flowered headband would be gorgeous on a bride or any member of the female bridal party.
A single flower in the hair for the prom is a classy look especially if it matches your corsage! Be sure you hair is completely styled and sprayed so it will stay in place when the flower is placed in the hair. It’s always a good idea to have an extra one just in case you let your hair down a little too much on the dance floor and loose the clip or comb.
A flower hairpiece is also a nice accessory for a costume party, especially a flowered hat. Or if you’re going to a party as a “spooky” person be sure to use black or gray colors for the paper flowers to add an authentic look to your costume.
Hawaiian luaus are the perfect place to wear a flower in your hair, especially an exotic colored orchid. You could even make a few extras for all the ladies who will be at the luau.

Flowers make the ideal gift for nearly every occasion. Whether someone has had a baby, celebrated a birthday or lost a loved one, flowers are the ideal gift. But how did we get started giving flowers?
In the Beginning
No one knows exactly who gave the first bunch of flowers, but it could easily go as far back as Adam and Eve! Toddlers automatically pick wildflowers to give to their mothers, drawn by the colors and prettiness.We do know, however, that each culture has used flowers for different reasons. In Ancient Greece, flowers were considered to be property of the gods, making them very special. There are accounts of flowers being given as a gift for many thousands of years. The majority of these would have been flowers that where picked wild, plus a few from the garden.
